Overview
These studies are part of the global project "Construction of Intermodal terminal in Central South Planning Development Region in Bulgaria - Plovdiv", that aims to create the optimal conditions for intermodal transport in the EU's southeastern region. This intends to bring about a higher quality of freight transport services, and thus provide low-cost, high-volume freight transport between the Black Sea and Turkey with the rest of the EU. It is also in accordance with recommendations on the extension of the major TEN axes to the EU's neighbouring countries and regions.
The current studies seek to provide technical assistance for the preparation of the global project, including all necessary technical, economic and environmental evaluations; the preparation of conceptual design, the development of the procurement strategy and preparation of tender documentation for the construction works.
