Overview
CROCODILE 2 involved public authorities, road administrations and traffic information service providers to ensure coordinated traffic management and control resulting in high quality traveller information services. Partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia are working together to improve cross-border traffic and transport through implementing harmonised and synchronised ITS applications.
The Action directly contributed to Commission Delegated Regulation 886/2013 on the provision of road safety-related minimum universal traffic information free of charge to users as well as the provision of information services for safe and secure parking places for trucks and commercial vehicles. In addition, CROCODILE 2 contributed to the provision of EU-wide real-time traffic information services in line with EU regulation and policy.
