Overview
The ALSO 4.0 project focuses on the research and development of optoelectronic survey systems based on laser scanning technology in order to create a working prototype for the three-dimensional measurement of blocks and sections of ships. The technology aims to digitalise the manual processes to verify the dimensional and geometric conformity of the hull blocks and assembly sections, the planarity of the deck surfaces and to verify the dimensional conformity of special artifacts and components.
The project is focused on improving the performance of the production system and design through a significant reduction of the overall time for relief and data processing as well as easier production and archiving of test reports.
