Overview
For all generations, unrestricted individual mobility is crucial for social exchange and participation. A self-determined life in old age therefore requires support in coping with distances.
The S-Mobil100 project is developing, implementing and evaluating an ICT-based, age-appropriate and intergenerational mobility platform in a model region (the city of Siegen and the neighbouring rural district of Siegen-Wittgenstein). The offer is intended to cover two different groups of users - urban residents and inhabitants of rural communities in the district. The direct and active involvement of all relevant stakeholders is intended to ensure that a continuous further development of organisational processes, media practices and technical infrastructures will be implemented.
Key elements of the system are the integration of a personal assistant for operating the platform and the individual transport service organisation. The main focus lies on recruiting volunteers. The development of a remuneration system for salaried employees of the transport service or cooperation with co-suppliers, such as taxi companies, bus companies and caretaker services, also need to be integrated into the offer.
