Overview
The project dealt with research and development of the new measuring system for detecting of force effects in the wheel-rail contact. Attention was paid especially to the measurement of tangential (traction and braking) forces that are not measured with the defined accuracy by any measuring system even abroad yet. Knowledge of these forces is for the rail vehicle producer an important parameter in terms of safety (braking forces) and drive efficiency (driving forces).
