The EC's Joint Research Centre (JRC) attended the Transportation Research Board (TRB) 98th Annual Meeting that took place in Washington, DC in the United States between 13-17 January 2019.

The TRIMIS team presented two papers at the TRB Annual Meeting on:

• “TRIMIS: the European transport research and innovation policy tool supporting the transport innovation revolution”
• “New and emerging technologies for the digital transformation in transportation: a European perspective”.

In addition, a presentation on TRIMIS was given at the workshop “From transport research to innovation: Case Study–Based Presentation of U.S. and International Experience” held during the conference.

The presence of the TRIMIS team at the 2019 TRB Annual Meeting provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of TRIMIS as the EU Knowledge hub for transport research and innovation among international transport professionals.

04 Jan 2019:

The Transport Research and Innovation Monitoring and Information System (TRIMIS) monitors the implementation and effectiveness of the roadmaps developed by the Strategic Transport Research and Innovation Agenda (STRIA). TRIMIS analyses technology trends, research and innovation capacities and developments in the European transport sector, providing open-access information.

It has been one year since TRIMIS was launched and the programme team would like to know what you think. This user survey, which will take approximately 10 minutes, aims to better understand the needs of the TRIMIS stakeholders to further improve the TRIMIS website and services. It will be open for feedback between between 7 January and 15 February 2019.
