Safety and Security in Mobility - Thematic Research Summary

‘Safety’ implies freedom from danger; ‘security’ is the undertaking to protect human beings, transport means and transport infrastructure against unauthorised and unexpected actions. In reality, a complete absence of risk is impossible – this paper aims at providing a synthesis of research results and policy implications from completed projects relevant to the theme.
