Visit Bremen to experience a city where SUMP processes are at the heart of decision-making - Bremen is the perfect location to visit and explore the conference theme ‘Planning the efficient city’. The city has one of the lowest congestion rates in Europe and was winner of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Award 2014. A host of excursions are arranged to demonstrate how planning processes are shaping: the creation of low-car (and low-carbon) neighbourhoods; the promotion of vehicle sharing; electrification of public transport; the optimised management of freight; and the enhancement of cycle infrastructure.
