Overview
This workshop aims to help urban planners, transport and health practitioners better integrate cycling and walking into urban transport planning, and make the case for new investment in active mobility.
It will present:
Tools to increase active mobility and create healthier urban environments
New approaches and good practice examples across European cities
Free training on the World Health Organization's tool (HEAT: http://www.heatwalkingcycling.org/) designed to conduct an economic assessment of the health benefits of walking or cycling.
The event is open to local, regional and national authorities, researchers, urban and transport planning practitioners, public health practitioners, advocacy groups and civil society organisations.
