CIVITAS Workshop on Electromobility: In cooperation with the CIVITAS thematic group "Clean fuels and vehicles"

This workshop will provide the latest update on the innovative solutions implemented in the CIVITAS DYN@MO and CIVITAS 2MOVE2 projects (http://www.civitas.eu/).

Two areas will be covered: Smart Grids & Vehicles and Municipal and private fleets. Aspects concerning the role of local authorities and other key stakeholders will be presented. Different strategies, modes and the latest technological developments will be discussed.

In addition, a special session for the ELIPTIC project will be organised.

ELIPTIC looks at three thematic pillars:

• Integration of ebuses into existing electric PT infrastructure, upgrading trolleybus networks with battery buses.
• Upgrading and/or regenerating electric public transport systems (flywheel, reversible substations).
• Multi-purpose use of electric public transport infrastructure: safe (re)charging of non-public transport vehicles (pedelecs, electric cars/ taxis, utility trucks).

The workshop will start on Tuesday 16th February (14h00) and will end on Wednesday 17th February at 13h00).
