Overview
CIVITAS ARCHIMEDES , BIOSIRE, and CIVITAS VANGUARD invite you to
Donostia-San Sebastián for a conference about the practical deployment of clean
vehicles and fuels strategies in cities.
The implementation of clean(er) vehicles helps to reduce air pollution, improving the
quality of life and health of citizens. The implementation of biodiesel or biogas vehicles can also lead to greater energy independence (from fossil fuels), reduction
of the impact of the transport sector on global climate change, and relief from unstable oil prices.
A conference and training event on these topics will be hosted by the city of Donostia-San Sebastián on June 15-16, 2011. The conference on the 15 June will introduce participants to measures and initiatives in Europe relating to these topics.
On the second day of the event, BIOSIRE, CIVITAS VANGUARD and
ARCHIMEDES will organise in-depth sessions that will inspire participants to develop local policies for the introduction of clean vehicles and fuels.
