Description

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport is hosting Connecting Europe Days 2026 from 28 September to 1 October in Brussels, Belgium. As Europe's mobility flagship event, Connecting Europe Days brings together policymakers, financial institutions, industry leaders, transport stakeholders, and European Commission representatives to discuss concrete measures and exchange good practices on creating a competitive, resilient, safe, and sustainable transport sector in Europe. The four-day conference will address how Europe's transport system underpins competitiveness, resilience, and global connectivity, with particular focus on infrastructure funding and financing mechanisms essential for maintaining and modernising European transport networks.

Connecting Europe Days has established itself as the premier platform for high-level dialogue on European transport policy, bringing together decision-makers across all levels of governance and all transport modes. In an increasingly unstable geopolitical environment, the conference will examine how transport and connectivity policies contribute to competitiveness, strategic autonomy, and resilience of essential supply chains.

Thematic sessions cover the full spectrum of contemporary transport challenges, including decarbonisation strategies across all modes, deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure, digitalisation and intelligent transport systems, multimodal integration and seamless passenger experiences, freight and logistics efficiency improvements, urban mobility transformations, transport infrastructure resilience to climate change, safety and security enhancements, and social equity and accessibility considerations.
