Overview
This free webinar will look at COVID-19 impacts on transport emissions and air quality, based on air quality monitoring stations and other data. As UK road transport has fallen to 1955 levels prompting a clear fall in air pollution, now is the time to assess what can be learned from this and decide how to proceed when coming out of the pandemic. Evidence also suggests that COVID-19 fatality rates have been higher in areas with higher air pollution, such as northern Italy.
Speakers confirmed so far are:
- David Carslaw, Air Quality Knowledge Leader, Ricardo
- Dr Rachel Nethery, Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
- Greg Archer, UK Director, Transport & Environment (T&E)
The webinar will be held on 18 June 2020 at 14:00 BST (15:00 (CEST).
