Overview

The FABULOS (Future Automated Bus Urban Level Operation Systems) project which focuses on how cities can use automated buses in a systematic way, is coming to an end.

FABULOS project is organising its final conference to share results and lessons with its participants. Via a pre-commercial procurement, six cities worked together with three commercial consortia to bring automated shared mobility in Europe a big step further. As a result of this R&D project, a proof-of-concept for the management of autonomous fleets as part of public transportation is now available.

During the Final Conference, there will be a focus on the three different prototype solutions from FABULOS’s Norwegian, Estonian and Finnish consortia. The experiences from the FABULOS cities will also play a prime role. Other key themes are driverless shuttles as part of public transport, innovation procurement, regulatory aspects and technical lessons learned on turnkey robot bus solutions, including the remote operations of such a fleet.

The conference will take place on 18 February 2021 from 09:00-16:00 CET.
