Overview

Despite changes in the automotive industry, safety continues to be a major area of development, research and regulation within Europe. The growth of intelligent advanced passive and active safety systems such as pedestrian protection, adaptive headlights, ESC and emergency braking systems, as well as increased mandatory standards from the European Commission and EURO NCAP testing, should all contribute to mitigating the consequences of road accidents.

This Brussels conference aims to capture industry information in order to gain an understanding of advances within safety policy formation, safety systems development and regulatory collaboration within the European automotive industry. The event targets industry stakeholders, including OEMs, policy makers, engineers and analysts, and aims to cover government regulation, initiatives from the European Commission and current advances that are being made in active, passive and pedestrian safety systems.
