Overview
The General Assembly of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) will be held on 21 May in Berlin (Germany) at the Metropolitan Solutions Trade Fair 2015. The venue will be accessible as from 8 a.m.
The EIP-SCC is Europe's key initiative to create a common Market Place for Smart City solutions. In this context, the morning session will convene high-level speakers from city halls, leading companies and the European Commission to examine achievements of Smart Cities in Europe, actions to increase synergies between policies and funds to boost demand and good practice to create solutions that meet cities’ and citizens’ needs.
The event will be opened by Violeta Bulc, European Commissioner for Transport and closed by Günther H. Oettinger, European Commissioner for Digital Economy & Society. The morning session is free to all participants of the 2015 Metropolitan Solutions, but pre-registration is required.
