Overview
The Vigo Port Authority (APV) in cooperation with European Sea Port Organisation (ESPO), DG MOVE, and Ports of State (PPEE) organizes the “2013 Green energy Ports Conference”. The event will address the efficiency and emission reduction issues of energy, being ports in urban metropolitan areas key actors for the community sustainability. From this perspective, the possibility of sharing EC and country regulations and directives, new technologies already available, and results of first initiatives already in progress in several EU ports, will foster networking and open discussions between the key stakeholders on future possibilities for the ports to be sustainable, efficient and clean energy leading ecosystems in their respective areas of influence.
The second Workshop of TEFLES Project, “Emission reductions through ship operations in ports” will take place as part of the conference.
