Overview
GRIP (Green Retrofitting through Improved Propulsion) has been a three-year project with a total budget of 4.1 million euros, partly funded by the European Union under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7). The aim of the GRIP project has been to reduce fuel consumption in shipping by 5% (with individual ships up to 10%) by the design, production and retrofitting of an Energy Saving Device to an operational ship.
The GRIP Project will be holding a session at the Green Ship Technology Conference 2015 during the morning of the 12th March 2015 – Copenhagen, Denmark. This session is being held to present the work that has been carried out throughout the project lifecycle, and the results that have been obtained.
