Description

The Clean Hydrogen Partnership is hosting the EU Hydrogen Research and Innovation Days on 24–25 November 2025, aiming to strengthen Europe's leadership in developing a sustainable, competitive, and resilient hydrogen ecosystem. As Europe accelerates its transition towards climate neutrality, clean hydrogen has emerged as a critical enabler for decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors, including heavy-duty transport, aviation, maritime shipping, and industrial applications. The Clean Hydrogen Partnership, with its €2 billion funding envelope, supports the entire value chain of renewable hydrogen from production, storage, and distribution to end-use applications, playing a pivotal role in advancing breakthrough technologies and large-scale demonstrations.

The two-day event will highlight progress across the Clean Hydrogen programme, providing a comprehensive assessment of results, facilitating knowledge exchange, and identifying future research and innovation priorities for the sector. A particular emphasis will be placed on regional collaboration through Hydrogen Valleys, demonstrating how innovation at local and regional levels is accelerating Europe's clean hydrogen transition. High-level representatives from the European Commission, industry leaders, and research organisations will share insights on the latest advances in hydrogen technologies across Europe and beyond.

The event will also feature the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Awards Ceremony on 24 November 2025, celebrating excellence in hydrogen research and innovation. The awards recognise outstanding projects and beneficiaries across five categories: Best Success Story (chosen by public vote), Best Innovation (chosen by public vote), Best Outreach, European H2 Valley of the Year, and Women in H2 Innovation Award. These categories highlight exceptional accomplishments contributing to the growth of a sustainable hydrogen economy across Europe.
