Overview
Under the motto "Competition: making it work in public transport", the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management of the Delft University of Technology will hold a conference dealing with new forms of public transport regulation, with a focus on competition as a regulatory feature in the public sector. Four main issues will be debated: competitive tendering performed as a regulatory benchmark, institutional alternatives to competitive tendering, construction of trusting relationships between contract parties in this sector, and development of successful and cost effective public transport. During the conference, partcicpants will be able to meet scientists and business people from all over the world who are involved in the transport sector. The social activities and workshops aim to be excellent opportunities to exchange ideas and for social networking. Governmental, NGOs and commercial organisations are also welcome and are represented in the conference. Also a small number of Master students will attend parts of the conference.
