Tackling risk is gaining widespread attention as operators are increasingly scrutinized in their management and provision of services. Different operators face a wide range of situations contingent on their contexts, however all ought to identify and address risks. Despite a slow uptake of effective Risk Management practices, the integration of such processes (operational, project and strategic level). As they can provide levers to guarantee sound business objectives in line the with the company’s long term vision.
Yet, the system is as strong as its weakest link! Mapping the risk profile of companies and granting ownership of risks at all layers enables to set a consistent vision, and agreed levels of risk that an entity is willing to accept.
Objective: We expect participants to discuss on the importance of understanding risks and how to address them as an inherent part of the business model.
UITP believes that public transport systems should consider Integrated Risk Management as a vital tool, to enable steer a business toward measurable, lasting success in today’s ever-changing business environment.

This event aims tp target operators, with a particular focus to the senior and mid-management level focusing on Risk Business Units or Risk managers. Nevertheless, Transport Authorities and other interested parties are welcomed.
