RTR Conference 2026
Description
The European Road Transport Research Advisory Council (ERTRAC), together with the European Commission, the European Green Vehicles Initiative Association for the 2Zero partnership (EGVIAfor2Zero), the Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility Association (CCAM Association), and the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), is hosting the 8th edition of the European Conference on Results from Road Transport Research Projects. This landmark event serves as the unique entry point for exploring the state of the art of European-funded road transport research.
Now in its eighth consecutive year, the RTR Conference has established itself as the premier platform for presenting research and innovation results from European-funded road transport projects. The conference showcases significant scientific accomplishments and findings from projects supported under the EU's flagship funding programmes, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, offering a comprehensive overview of how European research is advancing across critical areas of road mobility whilst delivering benefits to the environment, economy, and wider society.
The three-day programme features 26 sessions with 100 speakers presenting results from 92 projects, covering essential areas including green vehicles, urban mobility, logistics, intelligent transport systems, safety, automated road transport, and batteries. Discussions will explore both the results and expected impacts of current projects, whilst identifying the next research steps necessary for transformative road transport solutions. This year's edition includes enhanced focus on battery technologies, with BEPA joining the event team for the first time, bringing new opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
