Overview
This one-day conference offers an opportunity to examine market challenges, policy frameworks, and government funding programmes in the shift to low carbon transport in the UK. Participants will explore some of the recent publications and initiatives released by government and transport
authorities and consider how these will impact the road transport and automotive sector. Additionally, it will provide a forum for the public sector, business representatives, academics and analysts from
around the world to share their own experiences, exchange ideas, and consider the challenges that need to be faced to in order bring the UK to the forefront of low carbon road transport. Through a series of
presentations from leading figures, attendees will have the opportunity to consider some key issues including: the role of national, regional and local governments in the low-carbon transition; shaping and promoting a favorable market for low carbon road transport; working effectively with latest legislation, policy and automotive technologies; and climate change and the future of decarbonised road transport.
