Before the expected revision of the car CO2 regulation at the end of 2017, this all-day conference will discuss post-2020 CO2 standards for cars and provide a high level stage for policy and technical exchange.
Bringing together key policy experts from the US, China and the EU, as well as representatives from the industry and the research community, the debate will focus on how European car regulation can drive down emissions and accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.
The morning session (9.15 - 13.15) will confront perspectives on the future car standards. It will focus on post-2020 CO2 standards, and put forward options for the introduction of a zero emission vehicle policy in the EU.
Light lunch will be provided.
In the afternoon (14:00 - 17.00) the focus will shift to the future regulatory designs of car standards. This session will touch upon testing procedures and real driving emission tests for CO2, and will be concluded by a panel debate composed of representatives of the institutions, car manufacturers, and environmental organisations.
