Description

IFP Energies nouvelles is hosting the 26th edition of the Transport and Pollution International Conference from 4 to 6 November 2025 at its headquarters in Rueil-Malmaison, near Paris, France. This in-person conference marks a significant evolution from the previous Transport and Air Pollution (TAP) conferences, expanding its scope beyond air quality to encompass the full spectrum of transport environmental impacts, including noise, soil, and water pollution, reflecting a more comprehensive vision of transport sustainability.

For over two decades, TAP International Conferences have served as a key forum for dialogue and networking between scientists, researchers, industry stakeholders, and policymakers on transport emissions and their environmental impacts. As a major European research institution specialising in the characterisation of transport emissions, their simulation and mitigation, IFP Energies nouvelles brings significant expertise to hosting this prestigious conference for the first time at its headquarters.

The conference programme addresses essential topics including new emission control concepts, measurement techniques such as remote sensing, decarbonisation strategies, non-exhaust emissions, and emerging worldwide regulations. This year's edition places particular emphasis on two focal themes: assessment and modelling of emissions, fate and trends; and comprehensive environmental and social impacts of transport.

TaP 2025 will be complemented by a dedicated workshop on primary and secondary aerosol emissions from transport, organised by the AEROSOLS project and also hosted by IFPEN. Global experts will gather to present cutting-edge science, innovative tools, and data-driven strategies for a cleaner and more sustainable transport future, facilitating knowledge exchange on the latest scientific and technical advances in understanding and mitigating transport's environmental footprint.
