Overview
The Public Works Regional Ministry from Castilla y León government (Spain) will present the Public Transport Management system, “Transport on Demand”, which it is currently implementing. The challenges of rural transport and mobility needs for rural populations will be discussed and regional experiences on this matter will be exchanged.
A debate will be held between several european regions in order to asses the current situation of Intelligent Transport Systems. “Transport on demand mechanisms” will be emphasised as instrument to improve isolated population management and transport efficiency. Different representatives from European institutions will present the state of the debate at the European level.
