Guest of Honour: Rupert Furness, Deputy Director, Head of London Transport Division, Department for Transport

This seminar will look at the progress and next steps for improving transport in London, following the release of the Mayor's newly updated 2050 Infrastructure Plan.

Delegates will discuss latest developments across key sectors, including plans for the funding and delivery of Crossrail2; ongoing devolution of rail services to the GLA - with TfL taking over additional services in 2015; latest developments of the London Underground service - such as the delivery of the Night Tube network from September 2015; and challenges for developing road networks in the Capital.

Further sessions will focus on key issues for transport on the river; international connectivity - with theDavies Commission final report due in summer; and for environmental interests and increasing uptake of cycling - with plans for a new cycle superhighway currently out for consultation.

At this early stage, we are delighted that Rupert Furness, Deputy Director, Head of London Transport Division, Department for Transport has agreed to deliver a keynote address at this seminar.
