Overview
On behalf of DG MOVE, the Transport Research and Innovation Portal (TRIP) programme is organising its fourth one-day stakeholder workshop which will take place in Brussels on Thursday 10 November 2016 (this will follow on from the Infrastructure workshop which takes place on 20 September 2016). The workshop is aimed at senior researchers and consultants, policy makers, planners and other stakeholders with an interest in the future of transport security. You will learn about the progress in research into transport security, how the results can be used to guide the development of future transport security and you will have the opportunity to influence recommendations for future policy development.
The TRIP team has been performing an in depth review of projects registered in TRIP under the theme of transport security. The objectives of the workshop are to:
- Present the results of the review of transport security-related projects in TRIP
- Discuss and validate the conclusions and recommendations regarding the direction of the research and its relationship with EU policy
- Obtain conclusions from the workshop to assist in the generation of a report on research in the field of transport security, which will subsequently be made available through the TRIP portal.
A draft agenda is available here.
This event, the fourth in this series, will be held at the Sofitel Brussels Le Louise, 40 Avenue de la Toison d’Or, 1050 Brussels, Belgium. The workshop will start at 10:00 hrs with registration open from 09:30 hrs and finish at approximately 17:00 hrs. The event will be free to attend and lunch and refreshments will be provided, however, you will need to make your own travel arrangements.
If you (and/or a colleague) would like to attend, please complete and return the registration form attached. The information that you include on the registration form will be included in the delegate list and handed out as part of the delegate pack. This will also include your brief description of expertise, which will enable delegates to network more effectively.
Final confirmation details will be sent approximately one week before the event. In addition, and to give delegates time to prepare for the workshop, we will also send registered delegates the draft report on the review of transport security projects in TRIP in advance of the workshop.
