Overview
Public transport has sadly become a target for terrorist activities, as shown by recent attacks in Moscow, Madrid and London. Although the prevention of terrorist activities as such is the prime responsibility of governments, the public transport sector also has to make concerted efforts to protect its passengers and infrastructure.
This conference will offer the opportunity to gain first-hand information about the lessons learned from recent security incidents. Public transport security experts will present and discuss advanced expertise that will help improve the efficiency of the cycle of prevention, response and recovery. The programme also features a technical visit organised by the British Transport Police in partnership with the London Fire Brigade.
Simultaneous translation will be available in English, French, German and Spanish.
