Overview
As the MAVEN project enters its final straight, it will hold an event in Helmond on 6 June, taking advantage of the ITS congress, to share its main findings and conclusions.
This H2020 project has investigated the management of highly automated vehicles in an urban environment with intersections and mixed traffic. It has developed algorithms for organising the flow of infrastructure-assisted automated vehicles and has explored the negotiation processes between vehicles and the infrastructure. Platooning is an evident example of a technology in this domain.
Beyond the technological aspects, MAVEN has provided an opportunity to initiate discussions on the role fo the urban traffic manager in a future with increasing levels and penetration of automated vehicles. This discussion has been conducted primarily within the three MAVEN stakeholder workshops that took place between 2016 and 2018.
Join the MAVEN final event to learn about the main project findings and to take part in a demonstration ride of some MAVEN functions,
The draft agenda can be found here and online registration here.
