Overview
In today’s highly competitive rail market automation and centralisation are drivers for innovation and national borders are no longer rail operation borders. Operators and infrastructure managers are seeking new ways to improve efficiency, operational safety and to control risk. Wayside train monitoring systems can measure the operational performance of rolling stock and infrastructure assets as well as the direct surroundings.
The WTMS conference, organized by Graz University of Technology and Europoint, offers a one-day interactional podium in order to discuss these developments and their directions and to share best practices in order to reach an overall improvement of cross-border railway operations.
