CINEA has launched the 2024 Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Transport calls for proposals, offering €2.5 billion to modernize and expand transport infrastructure across the EU, Ukraine, and Moldova. The funding will support projects aimed at enhancing the trans-European transport network (TEN-T), contributing to the EU's goal of climate neutrality by 2050 under the European Green Deal.

The calls cover projects in the following areas:

• Railways
• Inland waterways
• Ports
• Road safety
• Multimodal hubs
• Smart transport applications
• Safe and resilient mobility

An online info session will be held on 2 October 2024 and will provide guidance on the calls and the application procedure. 

Applications must be submitted via the Funding & Tenders Portal by 21 January 2025. Eligible applicants include Member States, international organisations, and public or private entities in the EU, Ukraine, and Moldova.
