The Commission has welcomed the agreement reached between the European Parliament and the Council on the Euro 7 Regulation. The Regulation addresses the main air pollutants regulated in the CO2-standards for cars and vans, and for the first time in the EU, the revised legislation will regulate emissions from brakes and tyres. 

The political agreement reached by the European Parliamenet and the Council is now subject to their formal approval.
