ANNOUNCEMENT
The European Road Transport Research Advisory Council (ERTRAC) has released a new roadmap, presenting an overview of energy carriers and production routes that offer significant potential to contribute to decarbonisation of the transport system’s energy supply, in view of the 2050 energy saving target of a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions from transport.
Reviewing alternative technology options and taking into account specific R&D needs, the roadmap confirms that achieving such an energy saving target is a challenging, yet reachable goal.The publication can be downloaded on the ERTRAC website.
