The European Commission has established three new sub-groups under the Sustainable Transport Forum (STF) following the adoption of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR). The new sub-groups will address challenges related to the deployment and interoperability of alternative fuel infrastructure and assess market developments. The specific groups formed are as follows:
1. Sub-group on hydrogen refuelling infrastructure for road transport vehicles
2. Sub-group on zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles
3. Sub-group on European Union (EU) e-mobility public key infrastructure (PKI) ecosystem management
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport has appointed members to these sub-groups and they are due to begin their work in the coming weeks. These sub-groups will advise the Commission on all matters related to the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure.
