Transnational call for proposals: Electromobility+

ANNOUNCEMENT

Increasing awareness on climate change, the scale of the challenges involved, and the pressing need to prepare for a post-petrol future have prompted most of the world’s developed countries to step up the research, trialling and deployment of transport systems that use more energy-efficient and less petrol fuel-dependent vehicles. In response to the second objective on petrol dependency, electric power offers a potentially groundbreaking solution, provided that the production supply chain does not emit too much CO2. Objective Electromobility+ is a contribution of 13 European countries and regions to the European Green Cars Initiative. The initiative aims at the creation of long-lasting conditions for the development of electric mobility in Europe on the horizon of 2025. Within Electromobility+ the involved national and regional authorities bring together €20 million of public funding. In the framework of the proposed ERA-NET Plus the European Commission may contribute to the funding of trans-national projects with a maximum of up to €10 million. Key Dimensions The transnational call Electromobility+ is structured in five thematic key dimensions:

  1. Energy and environmental policy approach
  2. Usage patterns, economic models, actors involved
