Background & policy context: 

Aerospace is a world wide dynamic growing market with huge potential. As it is very difficult to cover all relevant subject areas the selection of specific topics is essential.

Strategic Objectives: 

The objectives of this programme are:
- to establish national and international networks
- to develop demonstration applications of aerospace technologies
- to develop commercial usable products and services.

Programme organisation: 

The Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology is in charge of the programme responsibility. This includes the coordination to other relevant technology orientated measures and to choose projects which are eligible for funding. Programme management which deals with arranging calls and evaluation of projects is forwarded to the Austrian Space Agency.

The programme aims to make a complementation to the already existing Austrian space programmes in the European Space Agency. The main target is to support R&D projects in identified areas.

The total budget of the programme is EUR 7.27 million.

All national and international research agencies, scientific institutions, consulting companies, industrial enterprises, service providers and companies which have their industrial premises or their research institute in Austria are eligible for funding.
