Strategic Objectives
The purpose of this group was to promote telematics applications that will advance road safety and road operations. Targets are the improvement of road safety as well as quality of service by optimal use of existing infrastructure.
Programme organisation
Before new systems such as traffic management, warning, information, guidance, shadow toll or driving aid are deployed, demonstrations are conducted in order to test user and operator feedback. This field of research concerns all the operating components: traffic management, data exchange, incident management and user information.
