Overview
The portal RicercheTrasporti.it is managed by TRT Trasporti e Territorio, a private consultancy specialised in economics, transport planning and models, providing services and carrying out research activities in quantitative analysis, planning and economic evaluation of transport and land use policies. The company works at both national and international level.
Since 2005 ISFORT (Istituto Superiore per la Formazione e Ricerca per i Trasporti – the Institute for Training and Research in Transport) cooperates with TRT in the management of the portal.
The main objective of RicercheTrasporti.it (RT) is to bring data, information, theoretical and empirical results relating to transport policy and research in to one “place”. RT collects national and international contributions on various thematic areas including regulation and competition of sustainable transport, local public transport, logistics, road safety, economic assessment.
The users of RT are mainly public institutions, research centres, universities, managers of services and infrastructures, companies providing and using transport services, consultancy companies.
The portal is structured around its database of publications and studies organised in thematic areas: it includes reports, papers and official documents on the issues of transport policy, regulation and competition, logistics, sustainable mobility, public transport, land use and transport, road safety, investment evaluation, energy and environment.
The portal also includes a News & Events area with up-to-date information on scientific initiatives (conferences, seminars, ecc.), institutional initiatives as well as the publication of books.
The portal is in Italian but also includes international documents.
In order to download the items provided in its database it is necessary to register. Registration is free of charge and the portal has more than 7,000 registered users.
