The project includes the material-construction-technological development of energy-absorbing overlays on steel barriers class B / SP05, with N2 / B / W3 protection parameters.

Key Results: 

The energy-absorbing layers are used in the overlays: composite (polyester-glass laminate), polyurethane foam and elastomer. The overlay construction is in accordance with the patent application dated 15.06.2011 of the prof. T. Contradiction, No PL.395302, pt. Road-saving energy panel. Energy-saving covers are intended for use on road curbs at GP corner curves with a nominal radius of r = 140-220 m, with N2 retention, collision intensity B and W3 working width.

Energy-saving covers are designed to ensure that the curved safety features are met and at the same time increase safety by reducing injuries to vehicles and damage to vehicles.
