In comparison with arc welds, the laser welds differ e.g. in the intensity and distribution of residual stresses.
Objectives
The project deals with the use of laser welding in the process of the production of transportation vehicles.The problems of stresses, fatigue strength and operational reliability of welds will be explored.
The project will especially study the use of 3,5 kW power laser with fiber optics for welding sheets made from steel and high strength materials with or without additional material at a robotized workplace.
