Background & Policy context
The number of inspectors checking payment for the parking services are limited. The city sought to make the company's parking activities more efficient without increasing the number of controllers. There was thus a clear need to look for other ways of solving the problem in question.
Objectives
Maintain the current number of controllers, despite the average annual increase of 10% in the number of new parking spaces. Increase revenue collection of parking services by 20%. Collect data on the occupancy of parking spaces, analyze and make data-based changes in pricing and parking organization.
