Overview
Objectives:
The purpose of the Project is to create a practical link between Europe and Africa in the domain of satellite based navigation and positioning and related applications, particularly focusing on awareness dissemination, transfer of basic knowledge and education activities.
As such the Project proposes the use of GNSS technology as a driver for the Mobile African User-Generated social, cultural, educational and economic Services.
The Project demonstrates that a large number of attractive applications based on EGNOS already exist and can be readily used by a large spectrum of groups. It will also show that the number of useful applications will rocket up with the introduction of early Galileo services foreseen in 2014.
