Overview

Objectives

The general objective of the Action was to identify, implement and validate new LNG/CNG refuelling solutions along the Atlantic Corridor. These solutions aimed to address current issues on market and technical regulations in terms of security, safety, standardization, logistics, public access and interoperability.

The Action was to develop 9 LNG refuelling stations along the Corridor (from Algeciras to Paris), implementing new modular and standard cost-effective designs. The stations would incorporate advanced solutions for remote management and operations. Furthermore, the Action would develop an ICT infrastructure to deliver services and applications to improve interoperability while ensuring public access to the station.

It would elaborate on different business models which would be tested in trial operations and analysed. The Action would contribute to the large-scale deployment of Natural Gas as an alternative fuel for road transport.
