Overview

Background & Policy context

In the framework of the C-Roads Platform, C-Roads Germany – Urban Nodes will contribute to the implementation and operation of 3 different urban node pilots located in Hamburg, Hessen and Dresden. It is therefore located on part of the North Sea-Baltic, Orient/East-Med, Scandinavian-Mediterranean and Rhine-Alpine Corridors.

Objectives

The action promotes large scale deployment of Cooperative ITS providing a deployment pattern for a rollout of C-ITS services in Germany according to EU Regulations and standards and in line with the recommendations of the "C-ITS platform".

Methodology

The expected benefits include: reduction of accidents and travel time, and more secure emergency lanes.
