Background & policy context:
The project aimed to respond to the needs of disabled and older people to obtain guidance about choosing an appropriate vehicle, adapating it and using it with a wheelchair.
Objectives:
The objectives were to:
- Provide a definitive list of resources for disabled people
- Clarify and explain the range of products available
- Provide information on help with money, sources of advice and information
- Encourage and enable people to find the optimum solution for mobility problems.
Methodology:
The project involved interviews and consultations with users, market research, user tests and laboratory tests.
