Overview

Objectives:

To carry out the determination of the permeability coefficient comparison tests with sandy and gravelly soils used in road construction using different testing methods and to compare scientifically suitability of various methodologies to assess the permeability.

Based on the analysis to select the most optimal and standardized methodology to prepare a draft standard. Considerable development was needed to coordinate standardization activities in the road sector, including the promotion of standardization in the mentioned sector, preparation of standards and related documents, periodic review, and if necessary, change or withdrawal of existing standards, and participation in international and European standardization.
