Overview

Objectives:

The main aim of the C2C project is to enhance the quality of a few strategic corridors and shipping routes by optimising the existing infrastructure and encouraging more sustainable freight transport and inter-modality.

To further develop economic competitiveness and facilitate trade, C2C responds to the demand of tackling fragmentations in the cross-border logistic supply chains by better connecting ports to each other, and to the hinterland they serve. In complement with 3 major regional authorities, a significant number of the 2 Seas area’s ports will participate as partners in C2C.

The strategic cooperation between these partners will enable tangible, competitive action within a wider regional, national and cross border framework. Partners will work to deliver a strategic cross border Port and Transport Infrastructure Investment Framework and logistics masterplan.

To achieve this, activities of the project include consulting relevant actors in partner regions to identify and prioritise the most urgent actions needed, and to eradicate critical and immediate transport blockages within the eligible area.
