Overview
CROCODILE 3 is the follow-up of the previous EU co-funded projects CROCODILE and CROCODILE II, in which Member States worked together to improve cross-border road transport by implementing ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) applications.
The Action contributes to Commission Regulation 886/2013 with regard to the free provision of road safety-related minimum universal traffic information to users, as well as Commission Regulation 885/2013 with regard to information services for safe and secure parking places for trucks and commercial vehicles.
Public authorities, road administrations and traffic information service providers of seven countries cooperate within CROCODILE 3 for the deployment of harmonised and synchronized ITS services.
