DTImplement - Decarbonising Transport – Driving implementation actions
Overview
Background & policy context:
In the context of this project, the ITF will set up fora for EU member states, OECD member countries and all key transport stakeholders to identify transport R&I priorities of common interest. This will help to support the transfer of innovative transport and mobility solutions into concrete policy actions and create a favourable environment for the implementation of sustainable and inclusive transport policies.
Objectives:
The project will focus especially on innovative transport and mobility solutions that are capable to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions of CO2 and local pollutants in the transport sector while being socially fair, fostering social inclusiveness and economic progress.
Methodology:
The project will gather quantitative information allowing to characterise these solutions, it will consider barriers for their development and adoption and it will identify policy instruments available to effectively overcome them, leveraging on data, experiences and lessons that involve countries and other stakeholders leading the action on climate change mitigation and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
